Who we are
​
We are a friendly and caring playgroup, located in Welling, with over 40 years experience.
​
We are a Christian setting overseen by St John's Church, but we welcome children from all backgrounds.
​
What we offer
​
We offer stimulating and fun sessions for children between the ages of 2 and 4 years.
Our staff comprises a highly qualified team, who always strive to educate and care for your child.
We are registered to have up to 32 children per session. The ratios are: one adult to four 2 year olds, and one adult to eight 3-4 year olds.
​
All of our staff are qualified in Paediatric First Aid.

Aims, Achievements & Values

Ethos
​
The overall ethos of the group is Christian and we run under the direction of the church. However, we embrace all children and families from different cultures and faith backgrounds.
​
Key Workers
​
Each child is assigned a key worker, who is responsible for daily assessments and observations. Your child's key worker will put together an online Learning Journey that you can take with you when your child leaves our playgroup.
​

We welcome all children to our playgroup and strive to make them feel cared for in an environment of love, friendship, faith and happiness.

We do whatever we can to ensure safe and appropriate inclusion of any child with SEN. We encourage you to talk to us if you are concerned about your child's needs.
Our team
Here at St John's Church Playgroup we have a warm and friendly team ready help your child develop and learn to their fullest potential.

In addition to our permanent staff members, we also have a number of casual team members and volunteers, who help to make sure that we always have enough adults to look after your child.
